Design Technology topic focusses on effective design methods and technologies capable of
transforming ideas and requirements efficiently into innovative, producible, and testable products, at whatever level in the value chain. It aims at increase of productivity, reducing development costs and time-to-market, according to the level of targeted requirements such as quality, performance, cost and energy efficiency, safety, security, and reliability.
Four challenges are addressed:
1) Technologies for Model-Based and Virtual Engineering
2) Managing complexity, safety and security
3) Managing diversity
4) Increasing yield, robustness and reliability, and generate system openness
