Bubbles
AI, Data & Robotics

This large ecosystem bubble includes all the call topics in the field of AI, data and robotics from H2020, Horizon Europe Cluster 4 and Digital Europe. A lot of these call topics are driven by co-programmed partnerships. In H2020, these were the Big Data Value PPP (with the Big Data Value Association as the private side) and the SPARC PPP (with euRobotics aisbl as the private side), in Horizon Europe and Digital Europe these two partnerships have been replaced by the co-programmed partnership for AI, Data and Robotics - with the AI, data and robotics association (Adra) as the private side.
It is not necessary to be a member of these associations to apply for the call topics listed here, but knowing these associations and joining their events is helpful to get to know the ecosystem, find partners and understand the strategic aims behind individual call topics.

Robotics

This bubble contains call topics from H2020, Horizon Europe Cluster 4 and Digital Europe that have the development of robotics hardware and software at their core. The application of robotics (including drones) in specific sectors like health or agriculture is also funded in the respective thematic Clusters (not included in this Topic Tree at present). You may therefore want to look at these Clusters separately.. A large part of the community behind these topics is represented by euRobotics aisbl, who used to be the private side of the co-programmed partnership on robotics in H2020 and is now part of the co-programmed partnership on AI, Data and Robotics in Horizon Europe.

SSH Integration

Many call topics in the digital field require the involvement of experts from the Social Sciences and Humanities. In Horizon Europe, the NCP network Net4Society regularly publishes lists of these so-called "SSH-flagged topics" and provides guidance on how to involve relevant stakeholders. You can also find further information here:
https://research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu/research-area/social-sciences-and-humanities/ssh-integration_en

In digital technologies, SSH integration is often required where there is a direct interface between the technology and a human user, like in human-robot collaborations or interactive virtual worlds.
